Bahía Concha
El Parque Nacional Natural Tayrona cuenta con diferentes playas y sectores marino-costeros distribuidos a lo largo de su territorio. Cada zona tiene características, condiciones de acceso y actividades permitidas diferentes.
Located in the northwestern sector of Tayrona National Natural Park, Bahía Concha is one of the beaches closest to Santa Marta and one of the official terrestrial access points to the protected area.
To reach Bahía Concha from Santa Marta, visitors travel through areas such as Bastidas and Altos de Bahía Concha. From the entrance gate, the route continues for approximately 20 minutes on foot to the main beach. The bay is surrounded by mountains and vegetation characteristic of the tropical dry forest, creating a landscape where the Caribbean Sea meets the foothills of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta.
Bahía Concha has designated areas for activities such as swimming and snorkeling, always depending on sea conditions, on-site signage and the current regulations of the park. Boat trips to other authorized nearby sectors may also operate from this area.
